Departure from the hotel by ferry to Toujane. You’ll discover beautiful landscapes.

You’ll be received by Kamel in his house and meet a traditional berber family.

His mother and wife are dedicated to weaving,

He’s a farmer, he produces honey, olive oil and raises a few animals.

He will prepare a delicious breakfast with mountain herbal tea

Then the road is beautiful, winding between canyons, ridges with warm colors, you can see the traditional cultures in Jesour, each small portion of exploitable land is planted with olive trees, fig trees, almond trees. The irrigation is done naturally by recovering all the water which falls from the sky by an ingenious system of dams in terraces.

In Matmata, if you wish, small pose at the old hotel Sidi Driss (currently closed) filming place of starwars.

Farther west you will visit the village of Zraoua and then, in Tamezret, the magnificent little museum of Berber traditions of Mongi.

Mongi will show you with passion the history and culture of the Berbers of Tunisia.

Then, lunch at Mongi’s home, his wife will prepare a typical lunch prepared with local « bio » products.

In the afternoon tracks to Beni Keddache, important place for local trade, then Ksar Hallouf, very interesting little ksar with its mosque and oil mill.
